Project Unified

Project Unified was a huge success during the holiday season. The Redondo Beach Unified School District helped a record 60 families this year. All the families were extremely appreciative. THANK YOU to the Washington families who donated to this special cause.

Welcome Back to School!

Washington Parents,

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! This is going to be an exciting journey for us all!

If you are a returning PTA member or have just joined, thank your for your contribution, time and commitment to our organization, our teachers and, most importantly, our students! We made such a difference in our school last year and the PTA is continuing to strive to make a difference this year.

Membership is only $10  and it is one of the simplest way to contribute to your child’s classroom. This year, 50 percent of your membership is going directly to YOUR child’s classroom. Don’t miss out – join today and get the buzz about what is going on at Washington Elementary School and help keep our school buzzin’ with so many great events.

For all you social media members, please like us on Facebook! We will update Facebook with important information throughout the year, so all the information will be at your fingertips! You can find us at

As always, the PTA is looking for volunteers. There are many myths about the PTA, and I think that being caught up in a black hole of volunteering is one of them. I would like to clarify what we are looking for in our volunteers. The PTA realizes that everyone wants to enjoy the great activities/events that we offer throughout the year, so each activity/event will have a Sign-up Genius that will ask you to volunteer 30 – 45 minutes of your time. We will do our best to avoid black holes!

If you have any questions, comments or ideas please see the contact us on this page.

Your Washington PTA President,

Lindsay Smith
