Running Club 2017

One lap is 0.2 miles so 5 laps is one mile.
The END time is now 8:10am (changed from 8:05am) giving more time for the kids to log some laps! The Felton Gate does not open until 7:45am so if your child wants to be on time for warm up exercises and the first lap, please enter through the main entrance near the library on Running Club days.
We highly encourage parents to participate by running/walking with their kids. Kids love to see the parents out there, it’s a great way to get some exercise and it’s good bonding time with your child! We can also use parent volunteers to cheer on the runners, set up and manage the course, scan laps, help coordinate the end of the year party and more.
You can show up at Running Club and fill out a form on site, but a parent must be present to sign the form. Contact our Running Club Chairs at washingtonrunclub@yahoo.com if you have questions, for more information or to volunteer.
To track your child(ren)’s laps:
2.    Enter the Runner ID which is the bar code numbers located on your child’s Running Club badge.

To login using Apple iPad or iPhone:
Download free StrideTrack® app from ITunes App Store. In the input box, enter the student Runner ID.
Please remind your child to return their lap card to the alphabetical pouches (by first name) on the fence after EVERY running club. Do not bring them home or store in backpacks. We’ve had a few gone missing, and we are going to charge $1 for lost cards from this point forward. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

A special thanks to the following people/organizations for their generous support of Washington’s Running Club:
  • Beach Cities Health District for granting us $800 to support our efforts to go electronic and our needs as a whole.
  • David Chun (Isabelle’s Dad) and 7-11 for free Slurpee coupons to be awarded to the top 10 runners for October.
  • Wienerschnitzel – Dylan and McKenzie Jamrog’s Aunt Carol Ecker donated over 200 ice cream coupons to the store at 4607 Artesia Blvd in RB. The winning classroom’s running club members will receive one coupon for that month. Please disregard the expiration date – she will still honor the coupons!
